Reclassification of Job to a Lower Pay Grade. In the event a position is reclassified to a lower pay grade and the incumbent cannot be placed in a position of comparable pay grade, the individual's rate of pay shall remain the same unless the current rate of pay is above the maximum of the new pay grade, in which instance, the rate of pay shall be reduced to the maximum of the new pay grade.
