(d) Temporary is an employee on a term and task basis to replace nurses on leave of absence (including pregnancy and parental leave), to fill temporary vacancies as provided under Article 11.07, she or to perform work arising out of a new program which is funded for a fixed period of time. A nurse hired on this basis he shall be reinstated to her or his position effective upon presenting such evidence. 2.05 Nurse Practitioner - Registered Nurse Extended Class" 2.5 A Part-Time nurse is defined as a nurse who holds normally works less than the Full-Time hours over a fourteen (14) day schedule referred to in Article 12.
2.6 A casual part-time employee is an Extended Class Certificate of Registration employee who is offered work on a call- in basis, but who does not work a regular schedule.
2.7 The Employer agrees to employ sufficient Registered Nurses to meet the minimum staffing levels that may be set from time to time by statute and or regulation and by the Employers Service Agreement with the College of Nurses of Ontario in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Xxx 0000 as amended and the Nursing ActMinistry.
2.06 All references 2.8 The Home will maintain at least the equivalent to spouses the bargaining unit RN staffing hours each week that was in effect on November 26, 2014 for the duration of this Collective Agreement shall include common-law and same sex partnersunless the Home cannot reasonably maintain this commitment due to a decrease in Provincial funding. 2.04 (a) The Home shall not contract out any work performed by members of the bargaining unit which results in a lay-off or a reduction in hours of work of any member of the bargaining unit.
(b) Nurses who are in a supervisory position excluded from the bargaining unit shall not perform duties normally performed by nurses in the bargaining unit which shall directly cause or result in the layoff, loss of seniority or service or reduction in benefits to nurses in the bargaining unit.
(c) It is also understood that when a Registered Nurse is on sick leave, vacation, or leave of absence, the shifts will be replaced by a member of the Bargaining Unit if a Registered Nurse is available.
(d) It is agreed that ad hoc usage of agency nurses (RN) will not exceed the lesser of 2% of the total bargaining unit hours or the Home’s actual usage for 2012-2013 base fiscal year. The Home will make ongoing best efforts to reduce any use of agency nurses. The Home will provide the Union, on a quarterly basis, with satisfactory reporting respecting the use of agency nurses and the percentage that use represent of total bargaining unit hours worked (RN). Any use of Agency nurses beyond 2% in a fiscal year will result in a payment to the Union of 38 cents per hour of agency use above 2% to be determined annually at the end of each fiscal year.
(a) A registered full-time nurse is a nurse who holds a Certificate of Registration with is regularly scheduled to work the College of Nurses of Ontario normal full-time hours referred to in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act,1994 as amended and the Nursing ActArticle 16.
2.05 Nurse Practitioner - Registered Nurse Extended Class" (b) A regular part-time nurse is defined as a nurse who holds an Extended Class Certificate regularly works less than the normal full-time hours referred to in Article 16 and who is scheduled to work on a predetermined basis.
(c) A casual nurse is a nurse who is called in when regular part-time nurses are unavailable. It is the responsibility of Registration with each casual nurse, in advance of the College posting of Nurses each schedule, to notify the Home of Ontario in accordance with their availability during the Regulated Health Professions Xxx 0000 as amended and the Nursing Actnext scheduling period.
2.06 All references The Home agrees to spouses in employ sufficient registered staff and health care aides to meet the staffing needs that may be set from time to time by statute and/or regulation. In the event that there is insufficient staffing to meet this Agreement shall include common-law and same sex partnersundertaking, the Home, subject to the exercise of its rights under Article 7, will post vacancies so that any unmet care is suitably addressed.

2.06 Nurse Practitioner - Registered Nurse Extended Class" is defined as a nurse who holds an Extended Class Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Xxx 0000 as amended Act and the Nursing Act.
2.06 2.07 A Registered Dietitian is a dietitian who holds a Certificate of Registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act.
2.08 All references to spouses in this Agreement shall include common-law and same sex partners.

RECOGNITION AND DEFINITIONS. 2.01 2.1 The Employer recognizes the Ontario Nurses’ Association Union as the exclusive bargaining agent Bargaining Agent for all registered nurses, Registered and Graduate nurses with Temporary Certificates of Registration, employed engaged in a nursing capacity at the Queen’s Family Health Team at Queen’s University in Kingston, save and except nurse manager the Administrative Coordinator, and persons above the rank of nurse managerAdministrative Coordinator.
(a) Regular fullA Registered Nurse is a nurse who holds certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act and the Nursing Act. It will be the responsibility of the nurse to produce an up-time is an employee who normally works a regular schedule to-date Certificate of thirty-five (35) hours per weekCompetence to the Nursing Office by January 1st of each year. Failure to comply will result in the reduction of pay to the Graduate Nurse level.
(b) Regular part-A nurse is required to present to the Director of Nursing or designate on or before February 15th of each year evidence that her or his Certificate of Registration is in good standing and currently in effect. Such time will be extended for reasons where the College of Nurses permits the nurse’s Certificate of Registration to remain in effect. If the nurse’s Certificate of Registration is an employee who normally works a regular schedule of less than thirty-five (35) hours per week.
(c) Casual is an employee who works on an ad hoc basis, as required suspended by the EmployerCollege of Nurses of Ontario for non- payment of the annual fee, does not have an ongoing fixed schedulethe nurse will be placed on non-disciplinary suspension without pay. If the nurse presents evidence that her or his Certificate of Registration has been reinstated, and may decline casual work.
(d) Temporary is an employee on a term and task basis to replace nurses on leave of absence (including pregnancy and parental leave), to fill temporary vacancies as provided under Article 11.07, she or to perform work arising out of a new program which is funded for a fixed period of time. A nurse hired on this basis he shall be reinstated to her or his position effective upon presenting such evidence. Failure to provide evidence within 90 calendar days of the nurse being placed on non-disciplinary suspension by the Home will result in the nurse being deemed to be in no longer qualified and the bargaining unit; however, the parties agree that such interim replacement nurse shall have no claim to be terminated from the position temporarily filledemploy of the Home. Such termination shall not be subject of a grievance or arbitration.
2.03 2.3 A nurse who holds a Temporary Certificate of Registration in accordance with the Nursing Act, 1991 and its Regulations must obtain their her or his Certificate of Registration prior to the expiry of their her or his Temporary Certificate. If the nurse fails to obtain their her or his Certificate of Registration prior to the expiry of their her or his Temporary Certificate of Registration they Registration, but in any case not longer than two years from her or his date of hire, she or he will be deemed to be not qualified for the position of registered nurse and they she or he will be terminated from the employ of the EmployerHome. Such termination shall not be the subject of a grievance or arbitration. A nurse who holds a Temporary Certificate of Registration will be classified, for purposes of salary, in accordance with Appendix ‘A’.
2.04 2.4 A registered Full-Time nurse is a nurse who holds a Certificate of Registration with is regularly scheduled to work the College of Nurses of Ontario normal Full- Time hours referred to in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act,1994 as amended and the Nursing ActArticle 12.
2.05 Nurse Practitioner - Registered Nurse Extended Class" 2.5 A Part-Time nurse is defined as a nurse who holds an Extended Class Certificate of Registration normally works less than the Full-Time hours over a fourteen (14) day schedule referred to in Article 12.
2.6 The Employer agrees to employ sufficient Registered Nurses to meet the minimum staffing levels that may be set from time to time by statute and or regulation and by the Employers Service Agreement with the College of Nurses of Ontario in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Xxx 0000 as amended and the Nursing ActMinistry.
2.06 All references 2.7 The Home will maintain at least the equivalent to spouses the bargaining unit RN staffing hours each week that was in effect on November 26 2014 for the duration of this Collective Agreement shall include common-law and same sex partners(i.e. March 31, 2020) unless the Home cannot reasonably maintain this commitment due to a decrease in Provincial funding. The current staffing hours as of November 26, 2014 are 315 hours per week.
