RECOGNITION OF UNION DELEGATES. 34.1 An employee appointed union delegate in the section or Department in which the employee is employed will, upon notification of this to the employer, be recognised as the accredited representative of the union to which the employee belongs. An accredited union delegate is to be allowed reasonable time during working hours, at a mutually convenient time, to interview the employer or the employer's representative on matters affecting employees whom the accredited delegate represents. Delegates participating in enterprise bargaining negotiations will be paid in accordance with this Agreement. 34.2 The CE, DPC acknowledges and accepts the authority and duties of all Union elected representatives as contained in their relevant Union’s constitution, rules and/or by-laws, in accordance with the detail of procedure contained in this Section. 34.3 The CE, DPC and the Unions with members in the public sector, in the interest of harmonious employee relations, seek the co-operation of departmental managers and Union representatives in relation to this Section which reflects the abovementioned agreement.
