Recommendation and Approval. Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of Education may grant a classified employee, with at least five (5) years of credited service, a leave for purposes of travel for personal enlightenment, or to accompany a spouse, for a period not to exceed one year. Such leave shall be without compensation.

  • Application and Approval (a) 1. An employee shall make written application to her Employer on or before January 31st of the year in which the deferment is to commence, requesting permission to participate in the Plan.

  • Board Approval No reimbursement shall be paid to the Investment Adviser pursuant to this provision in any fiscal year, unless the Trust's Board of Trustees has determined that the payment of such reimbursement is appropriate in light of the terms of this Agreement. The Trust's Board of Trustees shall determine quarterly in advance whether any portion of the Reimbursement Amount may be paid to the Investment Adviser in such quarter.
