Common use of Registration While on Layoff Clause in Contracts

Registration While on Layoff. Employees on layoff must register in person or by mail with the County Human Resources Office, with a copy to the Department, signifying their availability for recall, by providing their current address and telephone number, or within ten (10) days of any change in their address or telephone number, during the period of layoff. Failure to so register, or to respond within five (5) working days after delivery or attempted delivery of a notice of recall to the last address on file with the County, shall terminate such employee's recall rights, seniority and employment.
