Pay Differentials. 1. All pay differentials are based on extra work and/or greater responsibilities or specific credentials/endorsements. In the event the parties agree a pay differential is appropriate or desirable and is not a part of this Agreement, the parties agree to negotiate an agreement to compensate such teachers.
Pay Differentials. Employees to whom an annual rate is applicable, except cumulative-hour employees, who are regularly scheduled to start their normal shift at or after 2:00 P.M. but before 9:00 P.M., shall receive, in addition to other compensation, a pay differential of 4% of the applicable rate for each hour worked during any such normal shift. Employees to whom an annual rate is applicable, except cumulative-hour employees, who are regularly scheduled to start their normal shift at or after 9:00 P.M. but before 4:00 A.M. shall receive, in addition to other compensation, a pay differential of 7% of the applicable rate for each hour worked during any such normal shift. Employees to whom an annual rate is applicable, except cumulative-hour employees, who are regularly scheduled to start their normal shift at or after 2:00 P.M. but before 4:00 A.M. shall not be entitled to receive a pay differential during any absences from work. Employees to whom an annual rate is applicable, except cumulative-hour employees, who work all or part of the normal shift of another employee, shall receive the pay differential (either 4% or 7%) which would have been applicable to the other employee's shift. The dollar value of any such pay differential shall be calculated on the applicable rate of the employee who actually performs the work. Employees to whom an annual rate is applicable, except cumulative-hour employees, who are regularly scheduled to start their normal shift at or after 2:00 P.M. but before 9:00 P.M. and who perform overtime work in continuation of their normal shift but who are not working all or part of the normal shift of another employee shall continue to receive a pay differential of 4% of the applicable rate for each hour of such overtime worked. Employees to whom an annual rate is applicable, except cumulative-hour employees, who are regularly scheduled to start their normal shift at or after 9:00 P.M. but before 4:00 A.M. and who perform overtime work in continuation of their normal shift but who are not working all or part of the normal shift of another employee shall continue to receive a pay differential of 7% of the applicable rate for each hour of such overtime worked. 18.1 - Mileage Allowances 18.1(a)
Pay Differentials. A. Incumbents in the class of Assistant Water Plant Operator who have or obtain a Grade 3 license shall be compensated five percent (5%) higher than that to which the employee is normally entitled, provided the incumbent is not in a probationary status and received an overall rating of at least “Achieved” on the most recent performance evaluation. Employees hired by the District after January 1, 2012, are ineligible for this differential.
Pay Differentials. Section 1 Bilingual Pay Current employees in designated positions who have successfully completed a Bilingual Performance Evaluation administered by the Human Resources Department or provided other evidence acceptable to the Human Resources Department of their competence, who are regularly required to use their bilingual skills in Spanish, Tagalog or any other second language approved by the Human Resources Director, shall receive a Bilingual pay differential of $50 per pay period. This differential would be subject to termination, if due to change in assignment or position, the skill is no longer required by the City. Each Department Director shall recommend the position to receive bilingual pay in writing to the Human Resources Director for approval. Positions receiving bilingual pay shall be reviewed annually by the Human Resources Director and an MEA Representative.
Pay Differentials. A. Incumbents in the class series of Engineer, Engineering Geologist and Water Resources Specialist (excluding Senior Engineer) who obtain and possess Professional Engineer (PE) license or a Professional Geologist (PG) license issued by the State of California will receive a 2.5% pay differential.
Pay Differentials. Jail: Employees assigned to work in the Jail shall receive an additional 10% above their base rate of pay.
Pay Differentials. Unit employees are eligible for the following pay differentials. Notwithstanding any provision of this agreement, total differential pay shall not exceed seventeen and a half percent (17.5%).
Pay Differentials. Public Health Nurses assigned to the California Children’s Services (CCS) division of Public Health as of September 1, 2013 shall receive an additional five (5%) percent of base pay.
Pay Differentials. Any bargaining unit member who receives any shift differential premium on the basis of his/her shift shall suffer no reduction in pay, including differential, when assigned temporarily to a non-differentiated shift for less than thirty (30) calendar days.
Pay Differentials. Employees who are scheduled for standby duty will receive a pay premium of two hours of straight time for each day the employee is assigned stand-by duty. Standby compensation shall be limited to pay only and cannot be converted to compensating time off. Physical Response to a Plant Alarm or Event Any employee, including a standby employee, who physically responds to the plant or pump station for an alarm, plant emergency or line stoppage, will receive a minimum of two (2) hours of premium pay at one-and-one-half times (1.5x) their base hourly wage rate. Under these circumstances the premium pay will commence when the employee leaves their home and will conclude upon the employees return to their home. Remote Response to a Plant Alarm or Event Any employee, including a standby employee, who remotely responds to an alarm or plant notification, will receive a minimum of one (1) hour of premium pay at one-and-one-half times (1.5x) their base hourly wage rate. Compensation for multiple incidents within the one (1) hour window will be compensated for only one (1) hour of premium pay. For a remote access response to qualify it must meet all of the following criteria: An alarm must be triggered; The assigned person must respond and act; and The action taken requires a log book entry. The log book entry will be made upon returning to the treatment plant to report for scheduled duty or by having another Operator enter the action in the log book, if the responding party will not be returning to the treatment plant before the start of the next day’s shift. The decision to physically respond to the plant or pump stations must be in good judgment. The responding Supervisor or Operator may receive one (1) hour of remote access premium pay up to two (2) hours total for the Stand-by period. Compensation for multiple incidents within the one (1) hour window will be compensated for only one (1) hour of premium pay.
