Common use of Regular Driver Status Clause in Contracts

Regular Driver Status. 1. The bidding of all regular runs shall be governed by seniority. Any driver who has achieved “regular union driver status” by a previous bid, shall have the right to bid on regular runs before a union substitute, regardless of the substitute’s district’s seniority. Regular union driver status is defined as any driver who has successfully bid on at least one (1) regular run, not including temporary runs.
