Common use of Regular Part Time Status Clause in Contracts

Regular Part Time Status. An employee may request to work part time hours for a minimum of 30 hours per week without affecting their entitlements to benefits (Article 12, 13). Vacation and Sick Leave entitlements will be prorated based on the weekly hours worked. Overtime eligibility remains based on the standard work week. The Company will review any such request, taking into consideration operational requirements. The Company may approve the request at its discretion which shall not be unreasonably withheld. Requests to work fewer than 30 hours per week may be considered at the Company’s sole discretion and may result in a reduction in benefit coverage.
