Call-In Sample Clauses

Call-InA regular part-time or casual employee reporting to work at the call of the Employer for unscheduled work, except those on-call or on a call-back, shall be paid for all hours worked with a minimum of two (2) hours pay at their regular rate if the employee does not commence work, and a minimum of four (4) hours pay at the regular rate if the employee commences work.
Call-In. (a) An Employee required to report back to work after leaving the premises of the work location following completion of a shift, but before the commencement of the next shift, except as required under Article 16, or called back to work on a day the Employee is not scheduled to work, except as required under Article 16, shall be granted a minimum of four (4) hours pay at straight time rates or the applicable overtime rate, whichever is greater. The minimum guarantee of four (4) hours pay shall not apply to Part-time Employees who are offered additional hours for a period of less than four (4) hours. (b) An Employee on the Employer’s premises prior to the commencement of their shift, who is requested to begin work by the Employer, shall be eligible for overtime rates for that period of time before their actual shift is scheduled to begin.
Call-In. Employees called to work prior to their regularly scheduled shift shall be paid at the appropriate overtime rate until their regular shift begins provided that the employee shall receive a minimum payment equal to one (1) hour at straight time or the time worked at the appropriate overtime rate, whichever is greater. Employees shall work the balance of their regular shift at their regular rate of pay.
Call-In. (a) Employees on the casual list shall be called to work in order of seniority as follows: • The Employer shall contact those employees designated as available for the shift or block of shifts being assigned but may also contact others who might be available notwithstanding their availability form, if the shift(s) cannot be otherwise filled. • Contact may be made either by telephone, text message, email or other electronic means of communication. Employees will indicate their preferred method of contact (one contact), and that preferred method will be utilized. • Where electronic communication is utilized, notice may be sent to several employees simultaneously. The notice will indicate the details of the available work, and the time line for reply. • Where electronic communication is utilized the following shall apply: a) Where a vacancy is known less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance, the casual employees shall have 15 minutes to respond to the shift(s) shall be awarded to the senior employee who responds confirming they will take the shifts or block of shifts within the time limit. b) Where a vacancy is known more than forty-eight (48) hours in advance, but less than four (4) weeks in advance, the casual employees shall have sixty (60) minutes to respond and the shift(s) shall be awarded to the senior employee who responds confirming they will take the shifts or block of shifts within the time limit. c) Where a vacancy is known more than four (4) weeks in advance, the employees shall have seventy-two (72) hours to respond and the shift(s) shall be awarded to the senior employee who responds confirming they will take the shifts or block of shifts within the time limit. • A record of calls or electronic communications will be maintained for at least thirty (30) days subsequent to the shift(s) being filled. In the case of a dispute, the Union will have access to the call logs and will be entitled to make photocopies as needed. In the event of a dispute, the call logs will be maintained for the period of the dispute and 30 days after the dispute comes to an end. • The seniority list for call-in shall be updated quarterly, commencing July 1. Time accumulated in a current period shall not be reckoned until the next adjustment date. Within two (2) weeks of each adjustment date the Employer shall provide the Union a revised electronic copy of the call-in seniority list. • Casual employees hired after a seniority adjustment date shall be added to the list in...
Call-InAny employee who is called in to work for early report by their supervisor outside their regularly scheduled shift shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours at the appropriate overtime rate. A call-in occurs when the work assignment and the employee's regular shift overlap and the employee shall be paid the appropriate overtime rate until their regular shift begins. The minimum payment for call in shall be either the two (2) hours amount at the appropriate overtime rate or the actual hours worked during the call in at the overtime rate, whichever is greater.
Call-In. (a) Where an employee is called in to work prior to the commencement of their normally scheduled shift, hours worked prior to the scheduled shift shall be paid at their basic rate of pay or the overtime rate of pay, as applicable. (b) Employees who are called back to work outside of their normally scheduled working hours shall be paid their basic rate of pay or the overtime rate of pay, as applicable, for all hours worked or for four (4) hours, whichever is greater.
Call-In. The following provisions will apply when an employee is recalled to work overtime.
Call-In. An employee called back to work from home after the normal workday has been completed shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half (1.5) for hours worked, for a minimum of four (4) hours.
Call-InWhen an employee is called in to work and reports to work outside of her or his regularly scheduled hours, she or he shall be compensated at time and one-half (1- 1/2) her or his hourly rate, for all hours worked with a minimum of four (4) hours' pay at straight time.
Call-In. 19.01 Available shifts after the posting of the schedule will be filled in the following manner. It is understood that the Employer decides what shifts are available, but will endeavour to ensure all available shifts are filled in a timely manner, subject to operational priorities. Employees have the right to turn down such a request. Employees’ first commitment shall be to their regularly scheduled shift(s). a. The Employer shall maintain a list of employees who could accept a call-in without being eligible for over-time pay, in order of seniority. This is the call-in list. Employees may request to have their name removed from this list. b. When filling a vacancy, the Employer shall call employees on this list commencing with the most senior, and proceeding to the least, until the call-in is filled. Only one number will be called for each employee during the formal call-in process. c. In the event the employee’s telephone is answered by a recording device or service or paging system, the Employer shall advise of the call-in opportunity, or leave a call-back number. The Employer shall continue the call-in process. If an employee responds and calls the Employer before the call-in is filled to accept the work, the employee will be scheduled for the call-in shift(s). If more than one employee has been left a message, or a call back number, the first employee to return the call and accept the work receives the work. If the work has been accepted, by another employee, employees calling back have lost the opportunity. d. The Employer shall bypass an employee on the list who would be eligible for overtime premium if called into work, until such time as all employees that are available would be eligible for overtime pay.
