Reinstatement Following Leave. a) After expiration of the leave, the unit member shall, unless he/she otherwise agrees, be reinstated in the position held by him/her prior to the leave. (Ed. Code § 44973.) b) Moreover, his/her salary shall be that which he/she would have received for the ensuing year had he/she not been absent from the District. c) If the unit member qualifies for a higher classification on the salary schedule, the advancement shall be made.
