RELATIONSHIP WITH GOVERNMENT. Because it is a public service concessionaire, the UNIVERSITY LINE is constantly interacting with representatives of the government, besides being subjected to frequent inspections by the services provided. The UNIVERSITY LINE stands for the legality of its acts and therefore will not tolerate any illegal conduct, bribery or corruption of any kind by its employees. The Anticorruption Law (Law 12,846/13), regulated by Decree No. 8,420/15, established in Brazil the administrative and civil liability of legal entities for the practice of acts against the public administration committed in its interest or benefit. Beyond this potential responsibility, the UNIVERSITY LINE is committed to ensuring that such practices are not practiced by its employees or partners with whom it does business. Thus, the UNIVERSITY LINE expects its employees and partners to act ethically, respectfully and professionally in their interactions and dialogues with public agents and expects everyone to comply with the provisions of this Code and the Anti-Corruption and Public Sector Relations Policy.

RELATIONSHIP WITH GOVERNMENT. 6.1 HKIRC will operate independently of HK Government. If HK Government wishes to express its views on the strategy or policy of HKIRC or other matters within the terms of reference of the CAP, it will communicate those views either (a) through the CAP by virtue of the HK Government’s representative on the CAP or (b) in writing addressed to the Chairman of the Board.

  • Our Relationship With You We are an independent contractor for all purposes, except that we act as your agent with respect to the custody of your funds for the Service. We do not have control of, or liability for, any products or services that are paid for with our Service. We also do not guarantee the identity of any user of the Service (including but not limited to recipients to whom you send payments).

  • Relations between Governments The provisions of this Agreement shall be applied irrespective of whether or not the Contracting Parties have diplomatic or consular relations.

  • Other Relationships Any Agent and any other person, whether or not acting for itself, may acquire, hold or dispose of any Note, Coupon, Talon or other security (or any interest therein) of the Issuer or any other person, may enter into or be interested in any contract or transaction with any such person, and may act on, or as depositary, trustee or agent for, any committee or body of holders of securities of any such person, in each case with the same rights as it would have had if that Agent were not an Agent and need not account for any profit.

  • EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIPS The ORGANIZATION, its employees, volunteers or agents performing under this Agreement are not deemed to be employees of the COUNTY, nor volunteers or agents of the COUNTY in any manner whatsoever. No officer, employee, volunteer or agent of the ORGANIZATION will hold themselves out as, or claim to be, an officer, employee, volunteer or agent of the COUNTY by reason hereof, nor will they make any claim, demand or application to or for any right or privilege applicable to an officer, employee volunteer or agent of the COUNTY. The parties agree that the COUNTY will not be responsible for the payment of any industrial insurance premiums or related claims or other benefits that may arise during the performance of services under this Agreement for any ORGANIZATION employee or volunteer, or for any consultant’s, contractor’s or subcontractor’s employee(s) or agent(s) that has been retained by the ORGANIZATION.

  • Notification of Government Investigation or Legal Proceedings Within 30 days after discovery, Xxxxx shall notify OIG, in writing, of any ongoing investigation or legal proceeding known to Xxxxx conducted or brought by a governmental entity or its agents involving an allegation that Xxxxx has committed a crime or has engaged in fraudulent activities. This notification shall include a description of the allegation, the identity of the investigating or prosecuting agency, and the status of such investigation or legal proceeding. Xxxxx shall also provide written notice to OIG within 30 days after the resolution of the matter, and shall provide OIG with a description of the findings and/or results of the proceedings, if any.

  • Performance of Government Functions Nothing contained in this contract shall be deemed or construed so as to in any way estop, limit, or impair the City from exercising or performing any regulatory, policing, legislative, governmental, or other powers or functions.

  • COMPLIANCE WITH LEGAL OBLIGATIONS Contractor shall procure and maintain for the duration of this Contract any state, county, city or federal license, authorization, waiver, permit, qualification or certification required by statute, ordinance, law, or regulation to be held by Contractor to provide the goods or services required by this Contract. Contractor will be responsible to pay all taxes, assessments, fees, premiums, permits, and licenses required by law. Real property and personal property taxes are the responsibility of Contractor in accordance with NRS 361.157 and 361.159. Contractor agrees to be responsible for payment of any such government obligations not paid by its subcontractors during performance of this Contract.

  • SUPPLANTING GOVERNMENT FUNDS 18 CONTRACTOR shall not supplant any federal, State, or COUNTY funds intended for the 19 purposes of this Agreement with any funds made available under this Agreement. 20 CONTRACTOR shall not claim reimbursement from COUNTY for, or apply sums received from 21 COUNTY with respect to, that portion of its obligations which have been paid by another source 22 of revenue. CONTRACTOR agrees that it shall not use funds received pursuant to this Agreement, 23 either directly or indirectly, as a contribution or compensation for purposes of obtaining federal, 24 State, or COUNTY funds under any federal, State, or COUNTY program without prior written 25 approval of ADMINISTRATOR.
