POSITIONING OF UNIVERSITY IN FIGHTING CORRUPTION. The UNIVERSITY LINE is committed to conducting its business with integrity, avoiding any form of corruption and complying with applicable anti-corruption standards. As the concessionaire of a public service, the UNIVERSITY LINE acts so that everyone in the Concessionaire knows and complies with this Code and its accessory policies, aiming to ensure that everyone observes the highest standards of ethics and integrity in the conduct of its business and activities. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden for all people of the UNIVERSITY LINE: • Promising, offering or giving, directly or indirectly, an undue advantage to a public agent, national or foreign, or to a person related to him; • To practice fraud or harmful acts in the relations with the public sector; • Offer Undue advantages; • To practice any action or omission that may characterize embarrassment to the action of the inspection authorities; • Make contributions for political purposes on behalf of the Concessionaire; • Obtain favoritism through sponsorships or donations; • Use business relationships and contacts for your own benefit or for the benefit of others; In addition, only employees or representatives authorized by the Concessionaire may negotiate contracts, both in the public and private sphere. The UNIVERSITY LINE periodically reviews its accounting and internal control information, through its internal and external audits, to ensure that any improper payments or payments contrary to the provisions of this Code are not hidden. If a public agent requests any kind of improper advantage, in kind, benefit, object or favor, in order to perform a task that he/she should perform by force of law or that is not consistent with his/her regular duties, the UNIVERSITY LINE employee must refuse to do so and immediately report the fact to the Compliance Manager of the Concessionaire. Any person who has knowledge of conduct or mere suspicion of misconduct or cases of non- compliance with these standards, should report, confidentially via the Ethics Channel, so that such report can be analyzed and investigated, always ensuring confidentiality and non-retaliation. The employee may also report directly to the Compliance Manager, if he or she so prefers, and is equally guaranteed confidentiality and non-retaliation.

  • Traditional Medicine Cooperation 1. The aims of Traditional Medicine cooperation will be: (a) to build on existing agreements or arrangements already in place for Traditional Medicine cooperation; and (b) to promote information exchanges on Traditional Medicine between the Parties. 2. In pursuit of the objectives in Article 149 (Objectives), the Parties will encourage and facilitate, as appropriate, the following activities, including, but not limited to: (a) encouraging dialogue on Traditional Medicine policies and promotion of respective Traditional Medicine; (b) raising awareness of active effects of Traditional Medicine; (c) encouraging exchange of experience in conservation and restoration of Traditional Medicine; (d) encouraging exchange of experience on management, research and development for Traditional Medicine; (e) encouraging cooperation in the Traditional Medicine education field, mainly through training programs and means of communication; (f) having a consultation mechanism between the Parties' Traditional Medicine authorities; (g) encouraging cooperation in Traditional Medicine therapeutic services and products manufacturing; and (h) encouraging cooperation in research in the fields of Traditional Medicine in order to contribute in efficacy and safety assessments of natural resources and products used in health care.

  • Enterprise Information Management Standards Grantee shall conform to HHS standards for data management as described by the policies of the HHS Office of Data, Analytics, and Performance. These include, but are not limited to, standards for documentation and communication of data models, metadata, and other data definition methods that are required by HHS for ongoing data governance, strategic portfolio analysis, interoperability planning, and valuation of HHS System data assets.

  • Scaling Locations, Rules, and Organizations All logs from timber sold under the terms and conditions of this contract shall be: (1) scaled at a location approved in writing by STATE; (2) scaled by a third-party scaling organization with a current agreement with STATE; and (3) scaled using the Official Log Scaling and Grading Rules (as adopted by the Northwest Log Rules Advisory Group) and STATE special service scaling instructions in effect at the time the logs are scaled. Utilization scale shall be handled in accordance with the section titled, “Utilization Scale.” PURCHASER shall enter into a written agreement with a third-party scaling organization for the scaling of logs removed from the timber sale area. PURCHASER shall furnish STATE with a copy of the scaling agreement upon request. If logs are delivered when a TPSO scaler is not present, PURCHASER must provide STATE with a method to assure protection and accountability. PURCHASER shall provide STATE with remote check scaling opportunities for logs scaled under this contract. The last two loads at each delivery point shall be continuously available for checking. They shall remain available for a minimum of 48 hours unless replaced by other STATE loads. They shall be available as originally presented for scaling; i.e., if truck scaled, they shall be presented in bunks. In the event scaling is suspended for any reason, hauling operations shall be immediately suspended until approved alternate scaling services are provided, or service by the scaling organization is resumed.

  • Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults The Supplier will comply with all applicable legislation and codes of practice, including, where applicable, all legislation and statutory guidance relevant to the safeguarding and protection of children and vulnerable adults and with the British Council’s Child Protection Policy, as notified to the Supplier and amended from time to time, which the Supplier acknowledges may include submitting to a check by the UK Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) or the equivalent local service; in addition, the Supplier will ensure that, where it engages any other party to supply any of the Services under this Agreement, that that party will also comply with the same requirements as if they were a party to this Agreement.
