Common use of Release of Probationer Clause in Contracts

Release of Probationer. During the probationary period, an employee in the classified service may be released at any time without right of appeal. Written notice of release designating the effective date of such action shall be furnished to the probationer. Persons employed in a part- time position scheduled for less than twenty (20) hours per week are excluded from the classified service and may be released at any time without right of appeal. However, an employee may make a record for inclusion in the employee’s personnel file of the employee’s reason, if any, for objecting to being released from probation.
