Release Time for Stewards Sample Clauses
The 'Release Time for Stewards' clause defines the conditions under which union stewards are permitted to take time off from their regular work duties to perform union-related responsibilities. Typically, this clause outlines the amount of paid or unpaid time stewards can use, the process for requesting such time, and any limitations on frequency or duration. For example, it may allow stewards to attend grievance meetings or negotiations during work hours without loss of pay. The core function of this clause is to ensure that union representatives can effectively fulfill their roles in representing employees while maintaining workplace productivity and minimizing disruption.
