STEWARDS AND NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE. 6.01 The employer acknowledges the right of the Union to appoint, elect or otherwise select three (3) committeepersons and one (1) chairperson. Each committeeperson and chairperson shall be seniority employees of the Employer. Subject to Article 8.08 hereof, the employer will recognize and deal with such committeepersons and chairperson regarding any matters which arise from the interpretation, application or administration of the Agreement. (a) The Employer will recognize a negotiating committee comprised of the two (2) committeepersons and one (1) chairperson as in 6.01 above. The purpose of the negotiating committee shall be to negotiate with the Employer for a renewal of the Collective Agreement as hereinafter provided, and the Employer will meet and negotiate with the negotiating committee and representative of the Union for this purpose. Committeepersons and chairpersons will have a choice of replacing either the scheduled shift before or after, but contiguous to a scheduled JLM meeting or Collective Agreement Negotiation session, where the scheduled shift is a night shift defined as commencing at 23:00 hours. (b) The Employer will pay the regular rate of pay for no more than three (3) employee members of the negotiating committee for all regularly scheduled working hours lost due to attending negotiations of this Agreement or its successor, only including all conciliation proceedings, but excluding any arbitration proceedings. 6.03 The Employer agrees that stewards shall have the right to have the assistance of a Union representative when dealing with grievances as hereinafter provided. 6.04 It is acknowledged, understood, and agreed that Stewards have their regular duties to perform as employees of the Employer. Stewards shall not leave their regular duties without receiving permission from their immediate supervisor and they will report to their immediate supervisor upon their return. The immediate supervisor shall not unreasonably refuse to xxxxx x xxxxxxx permission to leave his/her regular duties for a reasonable length of time in order to perform any of the duties required to be performed by a xxxxxxx under this Agreement. In accordance with this understanding, stewards shall not suffer loss of pay while dealing with grievances as hereinafter provided, however, the Employer shall pay for only one (1) xxxxxxx at any such arbitration hearing. It is further agreed that for the time spent in grievance meetings with the Company officials both the Inthe event the Company introducesanother production shift during the of this agreement, the Company agrees to recognizeone (1)Xxxxxxx on the other production shift.   • Local Negotiating Committee (a) A negotiating committee of four (4) employee representatives appointed by the union including the bargaining unit president. (b) The Employer shall pay representatives of the Negotiating Committee their respective salaries for all time lost from regularly scheduled hours negotiating the Collective Agreement and renewals thereof, up to and including conciliation and mediation. It is agreed that the employer is not responsible for accommodation, parking, transportation and food costs associated with the employee’s participation in bargaining. Mileage allowance provisions will remain status quo at all CCACs.

  • Union Negotiating Committee Leave of absence shall be granted to not more than seven (7) employee representatives selected to negotiate the renewal of the Collective Agreement for necessary time off including travel time, direct negotiating time, and necessary preparation time. The Union shall reimburse the College for all pay during such leave except for the days scheduled by the parties for direct negotiations and up to a maximum of ten (10) days if required, for meetings of the Union Negotiating Committee to prepare for and to complete bargaining.

  • Negotiating Committee The Hospital agrees to recognize a Negotiating Committee comprised of representatives of the Association for the purpose of negotiating a renewal agreement. The number of nurses on the Negotiating Committee is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions. The Hospital agrees to pay members of the Negotiating Committee for time spent during regular working hours in negotiations with the Hospital for a renewal agreement up to, but not including, arbitration.

  • Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.

  • Operating Committee the Consortium’s managing body, composed of representatives of the Manager and the Contractors, pursuant to Annex XI.

  • Negotiations Committee At all negotiations meetings with the Employer representatives for a renewal of this Agreement, the Union may be represented by a negotiations committee composed of five (5) bargaining unit members. No deduction from the regular pay of such Employees will be made for attendance at such meetings with the Employer’s representatives held during the Employee's regular working hours. The Union has the right to have up to an additional five (5) members, including Union Officers, on the Negotiating Committee at no cost to the Employer.

  • Negotiation Committee (A) The Union may designate certain employees to serve on its Negotiation Committee, and such employees will be granted administrative leave to attend negotiating sessions with the state. No employee shall be credited with more than the number of hours in the employee's regular workday for any day the employee is in negotiations. The agency shall not reimburse employees for travel, meals, lodging, or any expense incurred in connection with attendance at negotiating sessions. (B) No more than one employee shall be selected from the same work unit at any one time, nor shall the selection of an employee unduly hamper the operations of the work unit.

  • Bargaining Committee A bargaining committee of no more than three (3) employees and one (1) alternate may be selected by the Union.

  • Nominating Committee Subject to the provisions of Article X, the Nominating Committee shall consist of such number of Directors (none of whom shall be an employee of the Corporation) as may be determined from time to time by the Board. (the “CBOT”), participants in a variety of pits or principal groups of commodities traded on the Exchange or the CBOT and other market users or participants; (ii) at least 10% of the members of Board of Directors shall be composed of persons representing farmers, producers, merchants or exporters of principal commodities traded on the Exchange or the CBOT; and (iii) at least 20% of the members of the Board of Directors shall be composed of persons who do not possess trading privileges on either the Exchange or the CBOT, are not salaried employees of the Corporation and are not officers, principals or employees who are involved in operating the futures exchange related business of a firm entitled to members’ rates on either the Exchange or the CBOT. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Nominating Committee shall include the Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation as a nominee for an Equity Director at any annual meeting of shareholders at which his or her term is scheduled to expire; provided, that if such term expiration occurs during the Transition Period, the Chief Executive Officer shall be nominated as a CME Director. Subject to the provisions of Article X, a majority of the Nominating Committee shall constitute a quorum necessary to transact business.

  • Steering Committee A. CIFNAL/ICBFN shall be managed by a Steering Committee comprised of elected representatives from the membership. B. The Steering Committee is empowered to conduct the business of CIFNAL/ICBFN in accordance with the recommendations of the membership; approve and enact project activities; discuss and recommend future policy or changes in policy to be adopted by the membership; make budgetary decisions for CIFNAL/ICBFN; approach funding agencies; conduct periodic membership drives; and maintain communication with scholarly and professional associations as well as with other, similar cooperative projects. C. The Steering Committee shall consist of at least five representatives of CIFNAL/ICBFN. 1. Four representatives shall be elected to at-large positions on the Steering Committee in accordance with the procedures in Section VIII. At least one representative shall be from a French or francophone institution. 2. The Chair of CIFNAL/ICBFN shall chair the Steering Committee. 3. Elected Coordinators of standing Working Groups shall serve on the Steering Committee for the period of their elected terms. 4. A representative of CRL shall serve as an ex officio member of the Steering Committee. D. An advisory group of scholars and end-users, including representatives from academic organizations concerned with library and scholarly issues in francophone studies as well as non-academic information users and providers, shall be appointed by the Steering Committee as appropriate. The makeup of the advisory group shall be formulated to provide a balance of opinion and diversity of expertise. Members of the advisory group need not be from institutions that are a member of CIFNAL/ICBFN, and shall serve as ex officio members of the Steering Committee. E. All elected representatives on the Steering Committee, including the Chair, shall have equal votes on matters requiring a formal approval by the Committee. Each member shall be accorded one vote. Ex officio members shall be non-voting members. F. Steering Committee Members shall serve three-year terms, with staggered elections; re- election is permitted for one additional term. Elected members begin their term of office immediately following the annual membership meeting. G. In the event a member is unable to serve a full term, the Chair shall appoint a replacement to serve the remainder of the term. Following this period, the replacement shall be eligible to stand for election according to the terms of Section V.
