Common use of Release to Return to Work Clause in Contracts

Release to Return to Work. The District may require a Unit member who is absent for injury/illness to submit a release to return to work, with or without accommodation, from the health care professional who treated the Unit member for the condition which caused the absence. The release to return to work must state the date on which the Unit member may return to work and any restrictions/limitations that the Unit member has as a result of the condition which gave rise to the absence. If the Unit member has restrictions/limitations upon return to work, the District will meet with the Unit member to determine if the District is able to accommodate their restrictions/limitations.
