RELINQUISHMENT OF TRAFFIC CONTROL FUNCTIONS. ‌ A. The Department may elect to transfer the traffic control functions presently performed by Unit members to other employees of the City who are not represented by the Association and not covered by this Agreement; provided, however, that Unit members may be assigned these functions under special circumstances when required by the Department. Traffic control functions shall be defined as “curb enforcement, parking lot enforcement, and street traffic control.” B. The transfer of these functions shall not directly or indirectly result in any layoff or termination of any Unit employee.
