Remote Monitoring of Alarm Signals. If JCI receives an emergency alarm signal at JCI’s ROC, JCI shall endeavor to notify the appropriate police or fire department, or other emergency response agency having jurisdiction and JCI shall endeavor to notify Customer or its designated representative by email unless instructed to do otherwise by Customer in writing and/or based on standard operating procedures for the ROC. JCI, upon receipt of a non‐emergency signal from the Premises, shall endeavor to notify Customer’s representative pursuant to Customer’s written instructions, defaulting to email or text notification. Customer acknowledges that if the signals transmitted from the Premises will be monitored in a monitoring facility not operated by JCI, the personnel in such monitoring facilities are not the agents of JCI, nor does JCI assume any responsibility for the manner in which such signals are monitored or the response to such signal.
