Removal During Trial Service Period. An appointing authority may dismiss an employee at any time during an employee’s trial service period if, in the opinion of the appointing authority, the employee is unable or unwilling to satisfactorily perform the job duties or if the employee’s work habits, conduct and dependability do not merit continuance in county service. Prior to dismissing an employee, the appointing authority will consult with human resources.
