Common use of Reproductive Hazards Clause in Contracts

Reproductive Hazards. Any pregnant employee assigned to work in an environment that may be harmful to the pregnancy or to the fetus may request reassignment to alternative work, at equal pay, within her department. Such environments include, but are not limited to, exposure to toxic substance such as ethylene oxide or lead, communicable disease such as cytomegalovirus or rubella, physical hazards, or where there is a reasonable expectation of violence against the employee. Management shall assess any suspected hazard on a case-by-case basis. The Employer shall attempt to accommodate such a request.
