Common use of Required Court Appearances Clause in Contracts

Required Court Appearances. Leave of absence with pay shall be granted for an appearance before a court, legislative committee, judicial or quasi- judicial body as a witness in response to a subpoena or other order by proper authority compelling his/her attendance under penalty described by law in connection with the employee's officially assigned duties, including the time required for travel to court and return to the employee's headquarters. However, employees shall be required to seek all fees due them for such duty and turn said fees over to the City.
