Personal Day Off. An employee will be granted seven (7) or eight (8) hours maximum, available in 1/4 hour increments, per calendar year of paid leave of absence, to be used at the employee’s discretion for personal reasons. Such reasons may include, but will not be limited to, family emergencies, pallbearer, and personal commitments or as an additional vacation day. An employee will not be required to disclose the reason for taking such day to their Supervisor.
Personal Day Off. Effective 4/1/79, all regular full-time employees shall be granted a pesonal holiday to be taken at a mutually agreeable time between the Employer and the employee. The personal holiday shall not be treated as a holiday for purposes of the holiday pay provi sions covering National Holidays. The employee shall receive eight (8) hours of straight time pay, including night shift pre mium when applicable, for the day off and shall be scheduled to work an additional thirty-two (32) hours during the week in which the holiday is observed if the employee is within the ninety percent (90%) guaranteed group. Effective 4/1/80, two (2) additional personal holidays shall be granted to all regular full-time employees and shall be administerecfas out lined above.
Personal Day Off. Employees, other than new hires serving a trial service period, who have used less than three days of sick leave during the previous calendar year shall be granted a personal day off in the following year at a time mutually agreeable between the City and the employee. If the personal day off is not taken by June 1st in the year granted, the day will be paid to the employee at straight time by June 30th.

All regular full-time employees on the payroll as of March 31, 1982 shall be granted six seven (76) personal holidays to be taken at a mutually agreeable time between the Employer and the employee. The personal holidays shall not be treated as a holiday for purposes of the holiday pay provisions covering National Holidays. The employee shall receive eight (8) hours of straight time pay, (or ten hours per holiday for employees working a 4, 10 hour per day work bid week in the holiday week), including night shift premium when applicable for the day off and shall be scheduled to work an additional thirty-two (32) hours (30 hours if working a 4 day, 10 hour per day work week in the holiday week) during the week in which the holiday is observed if the driver is within the eighty percent (80%) guaranteed group. All 80% employees shall receive one additional personal holiday each year after twenty (20) years of service and an additional personal holiday every five (5) years of service thereafter (i.e. twenty-five (25) years, thirty (30) years etc.)
Personal Day Off. Employees hired on or after May 22, l988, shall earn personal days on the following basis: After l20 days of service - l Personal Day After 240 days of service - 2 Personal Days After 360 days of service - 3 Personal Days These personal days shall be administered on an anniversary year basis for the first year of employment and on a calendar-year basis thereafter. Upon becoming an 80% employee or after forty-eight (48) months from the initial hire date, whichever period is shorter, employees shall receive three (43) additional personal days.

Personal Day Off. After one (1) year of service, employees will be granted a personal day off. Time off must be taken during the period January 3, through December 15. Metro will pay for eight (8) hours at straight time rate. Only one employee will be allowed off for any paid time off day. However, the Personal Day Off will xxxxx all other paid time off requests except an actual birthday request and or a bid vacation week that will xxxxx all paid time off requests. The following procedure of granting paid time off in the Transportation Section has been agreed to:
Personal Day Off. Employee's birth day—Effective April 1, 1967 all regular full-time em ployees ou the active payroll during the week in which their birthday falls shall be given an additional day off in celebration of their birthday. The day off shall be on the Monday of the employee’s birthday or the first scheduled Monday shift following the em ployee’s birthday subject to necessary scheduling. The personal ''ay off in celebration of the employee’s birth day shall not be treated as a holiday for purposes of the holiday pay provisions covering National Holi days. The employee shall receive eight (8) hours of straight-time pay for the day off observed as his birthday and shall be scheduled to work an additional thirty-two (32) hours during the workweek in which the birthday is observed.
Personal Day Off. Light 20% Employees All Light 20% Employees shall earn personal days on the following basis: After l20 calendar days - l Personal Day After 240 calendar days - 2 Personal Days After 360 calendar days - 3 Personal Days
Personal Day Off. Employees covered by this Agreement shall each receive two (2) days off annually of their own choice for personal use without loss of pay, and the employee shall not have to give a reason when requesting the personal days except to state that he/she is requesting a personal day. Whenever possible, the employee shall give at least two (2) hours notice prior to the start of the shift on which the absence is to occur. Employees eligible for five (5) weeks vacation and employees hired on or after July 1, 1978 shall receive one personal day per year. For the period of July 1, 2003 to June 30, 2004 only, one additional personal day will be granted. This provision does not carry beyond June 30, 2004.
