Research and Professional Development. Recognition is given to personally initiated research conducted over and above regularly assigned library service. Efforts shall be made to evaluate the quality and originality of both published and unpublished work and other work which has an impact upon the profession of librarianship, the provision of library services, or the dissemination of information and knowledge.
