Continuing Professional Development. If, during the life of the Agreement, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is introduced for plumbers, all time spent in complying with the CPD obligations will be the responsibility of each plumber.

Continuing Professional Development. The Official Agency shall provide appropriate training for staff performing official controls, enabling them to undertake their duties competently and to carry out official controls in a consistent manner, as per legislative requirements. The Official Agency shall identify training needs for staff performing official controls and ensure that staff carrying out official controls are kept up to date in their area of competence and develop specialised expertise, in partnership with the Authority and other Local Authorities. While the provision of training is the primary responsibility of the Official Agency, the Authority may provide training interventions where the Official Agency has highlighted areas where training is required. The Authority will endeavour to facilitate networking and collaboration with other Official Agencies to assist in improving knowledge in such areas. The Authority will provide e-learning resources and training for official control staff so as to promote a consistent understanding and application of new legislation, guidance or procedures, as appropriate. The Official Agency shall support participants in using e-learning resources, disseminating knowledge or skills acquired and encourage the application of learning gained through the Authority’s training in official control activities. The Official Agency shall ensure that contractors used in the performance of the Service Contract provide evidence of Continuous Professional Development and Compliance with this section. Where staff from the Official Agency need to travel outside the Official Agency functional area to attend training courses/meetings, this shall be facilitated by the Official Agency. The Official Agency in partnership with the Authority shall develop and implement training programmes for all staff engaged in the performance of the Service Contract. Where staff have participated in Better Training for Safer Food (BTSF) the training content shall be disseminated to relevant staff/contractors in the Official Agency and other local authorities in partnership with the Authority.
Continuing Professional Development. 24.1 The employer accepts responsibility for providing the necessary resources and costs to meet the competency requirements of the Health Practitioner Competency Assurance Act. Reimbursement of fees required to enrol in a recognised Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points programme will be provided. 24.2 To assist employees in updating and enhancing their skills, subject to prior approval, the employer will meet the cost of professional development. 24.3 Each employer shall commit each financial year (commencing in the 16/17 financial years) a minimum sum of $600 per registered and employed at 1 July of the financial year to which the pool applies or the amount provided for in schedule B, whichever is greater. The total amount shall form a pool of funding for meeting approved professional development costs incurred by employees, including the registration costs of the programme referred to in 24.1 above.
Continuing Professional Development. A. The District will initiate and maintain a continuing professional development plan that unit members may participate in to meet TSPC's Continuing Professional Development requirements. The District will reimburse teachers up to $750 per year for continuing education courses pertaining to the subject areas they teach. The total amount available for all teachers District wide per year will be $20,000 (twenty thousand dollars). Reimbursement will be awarded on a first come, first served basis based on the date proof of successful registration is received by the Personnel Office. Reimbursement payment will be made upon proof of successful completion of the continuing education course. Reimbursement will not be available for any courses for which teachers utilize student teaching vouchers. B. Members have the right to choose to participate in the District Continuing Professional Development plan or to develop their own individual Continuing Professional Development Plan (as provided by TSPC Professional Development rules) which are incorporated into this agreement by this reference. C. With prior approval of Superintendent's designee, teachers shall be allowed to audit courses that have application to their teaching assignments or re-certification/Continuing Professional Development plan for the purpose of meeting these requirements. D. Teachers may choose to attend workshops, conferences, or other professional development activities for the purpose of meeting these requirements. E. The District shall not unreasonably withhold signature of teacher's TSPC Professional Development plan.
Continuing Professional Development. The ongoing technical/scientific development within the associated fields may require qualified staff to attend national and international conferences in order to maintain their ongoing technical/scientific competence. The employee then has the obligation of bringing back the latest developments and incorporating any new knowledge into the strategic development of their department. Attendance at the conferences is to be balanced against the operational requirements of the DHB and requires the prior approval of the employer. Forward planning and cooperation between management and staff is fundamental to ensuring CPD requirements are met. Funding and leave will be managed in a fair and equitable manner.
Continuing Professional Development. 42.1 In order to fulfil the continuing professional development requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, registered nurses and enrolled nurses, in consideration of operational requirements, shall be provided access to appropriate training. This training may involve any combination of the following and is subject to management approval:  writing or reviewing nursing educational materials;  presenting at or attending workplace education sessions;  attendance or presentation at external conferences, lectures, seminars or professional meetings; and  undertaking relevant online or face to face undergraduate or post graduate studies which are relevant to their clinical practice. 42.2 The parties acknowledge that professional development is a shared responsibility.
Continuing Professional Development. 1. For the purpose of meeting licensure requirements, the District will honor certificates of professional development and graduate credit issued from workshops, conferences, and seminars related to education, as pre-approved by the Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee. 2. In addition, the District will provide certificates of completion to be applied toward professional development units for all District in-service activities.

Continuing Professional Development. 1. When the District Plan requires participation in training or workshops, the District will pay the fees for that training. When the activity requires attendance beyond the normal workday of the teacher, the teacher shall be paid at the rate of $25.00 per hour for such time. 2. Sponsorship of an activity shall not be the sole reason for the denial of expense reimbursement or granting of release time.
Continuing Professional Development. 9.7.1 In addition to existing leave for in-service education, staff are encouraged to undertake approved courses of study or training relevant to their employment. If deemed appropriate by the employer, the following study leave and professional development funding may be approved: a) Paid professional development leave up to three days per annum that can accumulate to 9 days. b) Professional development funds of $2,500 per annum that can accumulate to $7,500.
Continuing Professional Development. A. The District will sign a certified staff member's CPD/PDU plan when completion of the plan is verified. B. The District will adhere to the Oregon Administrative Rules in administering CPD/PDU plans. C. If the District intends to implement a distance-learning program that would result in the elimination of bargaining unit positions, the District shall bargain the decision and the impact of that decision with the Association.
