Responsibilities of the College President and Board of Trustees. The College President will recommend candidates for continuing contract to the Board by the May Board meeting (or the next regular Board meeting if none is held in May) based upon the candidate’s successful performance of duties and the demonstration of professional competence. To be considered for tenure recommendation by the President, the faculty member must be recommended for tenure by the Campus and College-wide tenure committees. If approved by the Board, the continuing contract shall be granted at the beginning of the annual College contractual period after the three (3)-year or four (4)-year service requirements are completed. The College President will inform the faculty member in writing of the Board’s action by the week following the Board action.
