Common use of Rest Periods Between Shifts Clause in Contracts

Rest Periods Between Shifts. a) The Employer(s) shall provide at least fifteen and one-half (15 1/2) hours of rest between shifts, except as mutually agreed otherwise by the Local of the Union and the Employer(s). Failure to provide this time will result in payment of overtime for any hours worked during such rest period. b) When offering relief work inside of seventy-two (72) hours the Employer(s) shall provide at least eight (8) hours of rest between shifts. Failure to provide this time will result in payment of overtime for any hours worked during such rest period.
