Common use of Return of City Property Clause in Contracts

Return of City Property. An employee leaving the service of the City 30 whether through resignation, retirement, layoff, or discharge is responsible for returning any City 31 property which he may have in his possession except that a member who honorably retires from 32 active duty with five (5) or more years of continuous service with the department may purchase 33 his/her service weapon at cost less 10% depreciation per year of the life of the weapon. For 34 purpose of this section, City property shall include equipment purchased with uniform allowance 35 and listed by the Labor/Management Committee. Failure to return City property may result in 36 the employee's final check being held until such return is made, or deductions may be made for 37 the value of the property. 38 39 40 ARTICLE 21
