Return to Position. At the expiration of a sabbatical leave, the unit member who has been granted such leave shall be reinstated, unless s/he agrees otherwise, in the position held at the time the leave was granted, provided that conditions have not arisen which would have changed the unit member's location and type of work had s/he remained on active service. In the event of changed conditions, the unit member returning from sabbatical leave shall be reinstated and be assigned work appropriate to the field of his/her training, with the appropriate salary status including any increments allowed.
