Common use of Review of Claims and Disputes Clause in Contracts

Review of Claims and Disputes. 6.3.1 The Authority, will review all Claims once submitted by the Trade Contractor and take one or more of the following preliminary actions within ten (10) Days of receipt of a Claim: (a) request additional supporting data from the claimant, (b) submit a schedule to the parties indicating when the Authority expects to take action, (c) reject the Claim in whole or in part, stating reasons for rejection, (d) recommend approval of the Claim, (e) suggest a compromise, or (f) not take any of the above actions, in which case the Claim shall be deemed denied. The Authority may also, but is not obligated to, notify the Trade Contractor’s surety, if any, of the nature and amount of the Claim.
