Common use of RIGGING Clause in Contracts

RIGGING. For all events in the ballrooms, meeting rooms, Arena, 200 level of ACC North, and, when exhibits are not present, within the Exhibit Halls of the Convention Center and 100 level of ACC North it is the exclusive responsibility of PSAV to provide all rigging installations and attachments to the structural steel or fixed rigging grid. All rigging hardware (wire rope, shackles, etc.), including the motors, must be supplied exclusively by PSAV. PSAV will provide a lift, if required, and charges for any lift rental will be passed on to client at cost or with no more than a 10% administrative mark up. Any lifts used to perform such services are required to have non-marking tires or vinyl tape covering for wheels. The labor and equipment required for such work shall be billed to the tenant or other clientele in accordance with the approved rate schedule. ANAHEIM has installed a fixed-point grid rigging system in the Arena, ballrooms and 200 level of ACC North. All rigging conducted in the Arena is done using lift- supported measures, from the fixed points. No rigging may be done outside of a boom or scissor lift. No temporary points may be installed without the express written consent of ANAHEIM. PSAV will be responsible for maintaining and servicing the fixed grid system in the Arena, ballrooms and 200 level of ACC North. ANAHEIM will be charged f o r the “actual costs” of performing any and all work maintenance and repair work on the system. PSAV will be responsible for ensuring that only lift-supported rigging is performed in the Arena, ballrooms and meeting rooms, in conjunction with all exclusive points. PSAV will ensure only stamped and rated materials are used when supporting overhead rigging. Materials will be deemed stamped and rated only if their lot number can be traced, or if their origin can otherwise be determined to be of a reputable and reliable source. For any rigging associated with concerts to be held in the Arena, the fee per point charge may be eliminated at the discretion of the Executive Director. PSAV is required to initiate and maintain a rigging plot for exhibit floors and ballrooms, meeting rooms and the Arena to indicate the location of fixed points available for tenants or other clientele. PSAV is also responsible for regular, routine and periodic inspections and certifications of all rigging points and placement of equipment to insure integrity and safe operations. Whenever rigging points are in use, PSAV shall provide Commercial General Liability insurance with a minimum coverage amount of $2,000,000, combined single limit, naming tenant or other clientele as additionally insured. PSAV shall provide general overview of third party riggings, to non- structural steel locations, and shall report to ANAHEIM any unsafe practice, equipment or appurtenances.
