Common use of Right to Appeal Clause in Contracts

Right to Appeal. Where an employee feels he/she has been aggrieved by any decision of the Employer relating to promotion, demotion, or transfer, the employee may grieve the decision at Step 3 of the grievance procedure within three (3) working days of being notified (not including the day of notification) of the reasons why he/she was unsuccessful. Where a grievance has been filed, no permanent transfers or placements shall take place until the grievance has been resolved by the grievance procedure as outlined in Article 8 of this Agreement.
