RTPC Solicited Sources of Information. In reviewing the Member’s application, the RTPC shall solicit only the following sources of confidential information: (a) Written input from the Department Chair or the Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies of the corresponding University of Waterloo department, if such a department exists, or, in the case of the librarian candidate, written input from the University of Waterloo Chief Librarian regarding the candidate’s performance in the Tri-University library system; (b) A written evaluation of the candidate’s teaching, service, and where possible, scholarship by his or her departmental chair or program director, or, in the case of the librarian, a written evaluation by the Library Committee; (c) Faculty members applying for the rank of Associate Professor must be observed for at least fifty
