Safety Bonus. 34.01 If the number of days work lost due to accidents during the (12) month period ending on November 30 in any year commencing in 1998 does not exceed the number of days work lost due to accidents during the period from December 1, 1994 to November 30, 1995 the Company will pay to each seniority employee $200.00.

APPENDIX "E" Fuel Surcharge Fuel surcharge will be paid to the Owner Operator based on the average price at cardlocks in Vancouver, Edmonton and Regina, on the first of every month. The average price on the first of the month will be used to calculate the fuel surcharge for the entire month. The fuel price per is then used in the following table to determine the amount of fuel surcharge paid to the Owner Operator in cents per mile.

Safety Bonus. The safety bonus scheme will be discontinued as it created a risk that injuries would not be reported. The amount that was paid in safety bonus has been rolled into the overall wage increase in the new classification structure.

Safety Bonus. Drivers and monitors shall be eligible to receive a safety bonus if they complete a full year without a preventable accident or injury and attend one hundred (100%) of the safety meetings. Determination of preventability will be based on whether the employee in question failed to do everything he/she as a professional reasonably could have done to prevent the occurrence. The bonus amount is $200.00 per year for drivers and $100 per year for monitors, to be paid in the last pay period in June.
