Continuation of Medical Insurance. The Town will continue medical insurance coverage for the employee in accordance with the provisions of the Town’s Family and Medical Leave Policy. Thereafter, an employee who is receiving short term disability payments under this plan and is drawing full pay by using accrued sick leave credits will continue to receive medical insurance benefits and the Town will continue to make its contributions for up to a maximum of one year provided the employee makes the required employee contribution. If the employee has exhausted all sick leave credits, the employee may continue to be eligible for medical insurance coverage in accordance with COBRA.

Thereafter, an employee who is receiving Workers’ Compensation payments for lost time AND is drawing full pay by using accrued leave credits will continue to receive medical insurance benefits and the Town will continue to make its contributions for up to a maximum of one year provided the employee makes the required employee contribution.
Continuation of Medical Insurance. If Employee's employment by Washington Mutual terminates for any reason (including early retirement) other than gross misconduct, Employee shall be entitled to continue to participate in Washington Mutual's self-funded group medical plan, at Employee's expense, to the extent provided in the plan and under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA).
