Safety Training and Assessments. 11.4.1 The University will provide training to affected employees regarding prevention of back, repetitive motion and other common workplace injuries. 11.4.2 Employees may request through their supervisors an assessment of their work station to address ergonomic and other safety issues, including issues involving use of video displays, furniture or equipment needs, and exposure to heat and cold. The University’s safety officer will conduct such assessments. Recommendations for alterations to a job or workstation identified during an assessment will be shared with the affected employee and with his or her supervisor.
