Common use of Salary Column Advancement Clause in Contracts

Salary Column Advancement. Salary advancement for additional education, as provided for by the salary schedule, shall be effective only at the beginning of a contract year. To qualify for such advancement, the member shall submit to the District Office prescribed certification demonstrating successful completion of approved coursework that entitles the member to column advancement. Such submission must be made no later than October 15 to be effective the current school year.

To qualify for such advancement, the member shall submit to the District Charter Office prescribed certification by April 1st of each year one of the following: transcripts demonstrating successful completion of approved coursework or a list of coursework that entitles will be completed prior to the member to column advancement. Such submission must be made no later than October 15 to be effective beginning of the current next school year. Graduate coursework in education shall be credited. Additional coursework shall be credited at the discretion of the Executive Director.
