Salary on Recall from Demotion in Lieu of Layoff. Upon recall to his/her former classification, an employee demoted in lieu of layoff shall retain his/her previous salary eligibility date and, as of the date of recall, be restored at the salary the employee would have been eligible for had a demotion not occurred, unless the employee is denied the increase as a disciplinary action.
