Common use of Salary Ranges Clause in Contracts

Salary Ranges. ‌ Salary ranges established by the Employer shall be based on comparability and internal consistency between classes in the salary plan. In the event that bargaining unit employees are to be assigned to newly-created or newly-added bargaining unit classes during the life of this Agreement, the salary range for such class shall be established by the Director of Human Resources for the Minnesota Judicial Branch, who will advise the Union in advance of final establishment. Pay upon first employment in any position shall be made at a salary up to the midpoint of the salary range. Exceptions may only occur with approval of the Director of Human Resources.
