Salt corrosion resistance test. Two TPRD units are tested. Any non-permanent outlet caps are removed. Each TPRD unit is installed in a test fixture in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended procedure so that external exposure is consistent with a realistic installation. Each unit is exposed for 500 hours to a salt spray (fog) test as specified in ASTM B117 (Standard Practice for Operating Salt Spray (Fog) Apparatus) except that in the test of one unit, the pH of the salt solution shall be adjusted to 4.0±0.2 by the addition of sulphuric acid and nitric acid in a 2:1 ratio, and in the test of the other unit, the pH of the salt solution shall be adjusted to 10.0±0.2 by the addition of sodium hydroxide. The temperature within the fog chamber is maintained at 30-35 °C. Following these tests, each pressure relief device shall comply with the requirements of the Leak test, Flow rate and Bench top activation test.

  • Substance Abuse Testing The Parties agree that it is in the best interest of all concerned to promote a safe working environment. The Union has no objection to pre-employment substance abuse testing when required by the Employer and further, the Union has no objection to voluntary substance abuse testing to qualify for employment on projects when required by a project owner. The cost and scheduling of such testing shall be paid for and arranged by the Employer. The Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for any failed pre-access Alcohol and Drug test costs.
