Sawing. Make all saw- cuts directly above the existing transverse joints within ± 1 inch. Saw- cuts which do not meet this tolerance will be declared defective as outlined in Section 105.12. Do not saw cut until the bituminous course has cooled below 140F. Perform saw cutting within 7 days after placing the wearing course. Perform this work on all finished overlay areas before discontinuing work due to seasonal paving limitations.
