Common use of School Officer – Special Project Allowance Clause in Contracts

School Officer – Special Project Allowance. (a) This clause will apply where the following criteria are met: (i) the employer requires a school officer to undertake responsibilities, or to exercise skills, at the level higher than the employee’s classified position for the purposes of undertaking a designated special project; and (ii) such responsibilities or skills are not of such a substantive nature as to affect the classification level of the employee’s position; and (iii) the special project will only be for a fixed period of time, being at least one week, and will not be ongoing or indefinite in nature. (b) Where a school officer undertakes a special project, that employee will be paid the allowance in clause 4.3.7(c) for the duration of the designated project. (c) A school officer undertaking a designated special project will be paid a weekly allowance as per Schedule 1– S1.5 of this Agreement.
