Training Allowance. Operators who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level and to certify to the competency of the employees so trained shall receive twelve dollars ($12) per day while training. In such cases, the most senior qualified operator with the capability to provide training in the required class of equipment shall be given the opportunity to provide such training.
Training Allowance. For the avoidance of doubt, all quantities indicated below are the total quantities *****, unless otherwise specified. The contractual training courses defined in this Appendix A will be provided up to ***** under this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, flight operations training courses ***** in this Appendix A will be provided by the Seller within a period starting ***** before and ending ***** after Delivery of such Aircraft. Any deviation to said training delivery schedule will be mutually agreed between the Buyer and the Seller.

Training Allowance. 2.1 When KiwiRail Freight arranges training block courses at various locations throughout the country (excluding Auckland), a weekly (based on a minimum of 4 nights and a maximum of 5 nights, not including Friday or Saturday night) meals and incidentals allowance of $438.90 per week effective 1/7/191/7/20) shall be paid.
Training Allowance. (a) Employees who are required by the Employer to provide training to a specified level, and to evaluate the competency of the employees so trained, shall receive an additional premium of $2 per hour for each hour spent providing instruction or evaluation.
(b) In order to be eligible for the allowance the following criteria must be met:
(1) the trainer must be assigned in writing;
(2) the training delivered must be part of a documented training program;
(3) the documented training program must require a series of formal written evaluations, and
(4) the trainer assigned will be responsible for both the training and evaluation of the trainees.
(c) This clause shall not apply to positions where training is a component of job content.
Training Allowance. When an Employee (excluding those Employees who as a core duty of their job are designated as a trainer) is assigned to train other Employees, the parties agree to the following;
(a) Employees selected by the Employer as trainers, will receive a bonus of three dollars ($3.00) per hour worked while involved in the preparation and delivery of training to other Employees. The Employer will select pools of qualified Employees to act as trainers. Employees within such pools will be offered the opportunity to accept assignments as trainers in seniority order. It is understood that “orientation” will not be considered “training” unless otherwise agreed to by the parties in writing.
(b) Payment of half the differential between the rate of pay for the present classification and the rate of pay for the training classification to Employees selected by the Employer as trainees. At the conclusion of the training the Employee will return to their standard rate of pay.
(c) Where it is necessary to transfer a trainee to another work location for training, the junior Employee in the new work location in the same classification as the trainee left shall be subject to transfer. The Employer agrees that the Union shall have the right to express their concerns with the operation of the training program. The Joint Labour/Management Committee shall hear these concerns and make recommendations to the Employer for amendments to the training program. The Employer further recognizes that no bargaining unit member will be asked through the training program to express judgements with respect to the abilities of other bargaining unit members.
Training Allowance. An employee shall be paid a two hundred and fifty dollar ($250.00) training allowance, if he or she is required to train a new replacement to fulfill his or her obligations under clause 14.01, as a result of the Corporation hiring his or her replacement as an employee. An employee may claim this training allowance only once per calendar year.
Training Allowance. Employees instructed by the Employer to attend and who attend a training session not contiguous with their normal hours shall be paid a minimum of three (3) hours pay. In the event that the training session is either cancelled or is less than three (3) hours duration, the employee may be required to perform work associated with their duties to achieve the three (3) hour minimum. Where the Employer conducts training sessions with its employees, this time shall be considered as time worked.
Training Allowance a) When an apprentice attends courses at a College of Applied Arts and Technology, tuition fees, living allowance and travel expenses are paid by the Federal Department of Manpower and Immigration and the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities under a shared cost arrangement.
b) When an apprentice is required to attend at a College of Applied Arts and Technology, the Company will consider those hours which the apprentice attends school as hours worked for the purposes of this Agreement. It is understood that the maximum number of hours so considered will be forty (40) hours in a week and payment will be at the rate of pay of the group to which he is assigned at the time in question. Where an employee is absent from school on a day on which he is required to attend, he shall not be entitled to receive pay from the Company for such day.
c) Where an apprentice fails the examination administered by the College of Applied Arts and Technology and repeats same, he shall not be paid by the Company for time lost from work.
d) When an apprentice successfully completes the Maintenance Training Program and furnishes proof that he qualifies for a Certificate of Apprenticeship and a Certificate of Qualification, he shall be paid the full rate for the trade classification effective from the beginning of the pay period immediately following the completion of the prescribed hours of training and instruction established for him by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.
e) Should a Maintenance Department employee currently be receiving a rate of pay in excess of what his qualifications warrant, he shall not suffer any loss in pay but he shall not be entitled to any wage adjustment until his training and instruction so warrant.
