Scope of the Joint LDP. 2.1.1 When preparing the Joint LDP, it is important that consideration is given to its form and content. The Joint LDP will concentrate on matters that are particularly important to the area of the Joint LDP and it will not repeat national planning policy unnecessarily. The policies and proposals in the Joint LDP must be based on a thorough understanding of the needs, opportunities and restrictions of the area. A map to show the location of the Joint LDP area is included on page 2 and the following paragraphs provide a brief outline of the area.
