SCRATCHING AFTER NOTIFICATION OF BEING FIRST. UP Operators will be notified when they are next to be called, or become first up on the board. When a driver has been notified, the operator will be scratched if he cannot be contacted by phone. (See 0-32 and 0-33 call verification). A scratched operator will be removed from the board for 24 hours, starting 2 hours before his report time.

  • Transition to Retirement 24.1 An Employee may advise their Employer in writing of their intention to retire within the next five years and participate in a retirement transition arrangement.

  • Effective Date of Benefit Termination Medical, dental and life coverage termination will take effect on the first of the month following the loss of eligible employee or dependent status. Disability benefit coverage terminations will take effect on the day following loss of eligible employee status.

  • Termination of Benefits Except as provided in Section 2 above or as may be required by law, Executive’s participation in all employee benefit (pension and welfare) and compensation plans of the Company shall cease as of the Termination Date. Nothing contained herein shall limit or otherwise impair Executive’s right to receive pension or similar benefit payments that are vested as of the Termination Date under any applicable tax-qualified pension or other plans, pursuant to the terms of the applicable plan.

The City may terminate this Contract, and Contractor waives any and all claim(s) for damages, effective immediately upon receipt of written notice (or any date specified therein) if for any reason the City’s funding from State and/or federal sources is not appropriated or is withdrawn, limited, or impaired.
