Common use of Second and/or Third Medical Opinions Clause in Contracts

Second and/or Third Medical Opinions. For the duration of this Agreement, a second opinion may be obtained, at the discretion of the bargaining unit member or covered dependent, prior to any surgery. If the second opinion differs from the first opinion, the bargaining unit member or covered dependent may choose to obtain a third opinion. The cost of the optional second opinion and/or third opinion shall be covered by the University.
