Secondary Selection Sample Clauses
The Secondary Selection clause defines the process by which a party may make an additional or alternative choice after an initial selection has been made under the agreement. Typically, this clause outlines the circumstances under which a secondary selection is permitted, such as if the primary option becomes unavailable or if certain conditions are not met. For example, if a supplier cannot deliver a chosen product, the buyer may select a backup product from a pre-approved list. The core function of this clause is to provide flexibility and ensure continuity in contractual arrangements by allowing parties to adapt to unforeseen changes or failures in the original selection.
Secondary Selection. After the priority selections have been completed in the first round, the second round will consist of officers and firefighters picking first by rank and seniority in rank, any vacation hours carried over from the previous year, or any partial-shift requests. Any remaining request will be processed on a first come, first serve basis. Vacation leave will be charged in increments of thirty (30) minutes with a minimum of one (1) hour. Any Employee who wants to cancel a vacation day that they have previously been granted must do so at least one (1) day before the approved day off.
Secondary Selection. During this process each employee will be afforded the opportunity to select a second continuous block of vacation time. This selection process will continue even when an employee has exhausted accrued vacation leave or opts to not select a block of time.
Secondary Selection. Once all members have been given five (5) days to select their initial slots based on seniority process above, any remaining available slots may be filled by seniority on a rotating basis. Bargaining unit members shall have two (2) days to make a single secondary selection once the initial bidding period is over. Beginning October 2017, the rotation shall begin with the oldest (most senior) officer and shall proceed through the seniority list to the youngest (least senior) officer, at which time the rotation shall start over. In the event that a member passes on his/her right to pick up any available extra slots, the officer shall be treated as if he/she had selected a slot and placed on the bottom of the rotating list for future selection of secondary slots. If an officer is unavailable to fill any of the remaining slots (e.g. working normal ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ shifts or on approved leave), he will be passed over to the next officer on the list for the current month but maintain his/her standing for next month’s initial and secondary selection rotation.
