Common use of Section Eight Clause in Contracts

Section Eight. Each employee who retires under the provisions of Chapter 66 shall be compensated, as of the date of his/her retirement from State service, at the rate of one-fourth (¼) of his/her daily salary for each day of sick leave accrued to his/her credit as of his/her last day on the active payroll up to a maximum payment equivalent to sixty (60) days pay. Such payment for days accumulated sick leave shall not be included in computing retirement income.
