Unless otherwise directed by the entrance gate officer and/or Contract Manager, the Contractor, Contractor’s employees and subcontractors shall enter the institution through the main entrance gate and park private and nonessential vehicles in the designated visitor’s parking lot. Contractor, Contractor’s employees and subcontractors shall remove the keys from the ignition when outside the vehicle and all unattended vehicles shall be locked and secured while on institution grounds. b. Any State- and Contractor-owned equipment used by the Contractor for the provision of contract services, shall be rendered temporarily inoperative by the Contractor when not in use, by locking or other means unless specified otherwise. c. In order to maintain institution safety and security, periodic fire prevention inspections and site searches may become necessary and Contractor must furnish keys to institutional authorities to access all locked areas on the worksite. The State shall in no way be responsible for Contractor’s loss due to fire. d.
