Common use of Seniority and Benefit Accumulations Clause in Contracts

Seniority and Benefit Accumulations. An Employee shall retain and shall continue to accumulate seniority while on all approved leaves of absence unless other-wise specifically provided in one of the leave of absence Sections in this Agreement. Benefits such as insurance, vacation and sick leave shall not accrue, continue or be paid during any leave of absence in excess of thirty (30) calendar days unless otherwise specifically provided for in this Agreement. There shall be no duplication or pyramiding of leave benefits or types of absences. Medical, dental and life insurance shall continue when the employee is on an approved sick leave up to six (6) months beyond the month in which the leave of absence begins.
