Common use of Seniority and Movement out of Bargaining Unit Clause in Contracts

Seniority and Movement out of Bargaining Unit. All employees who accept a position in the Company outside the Bargaining Unit shall continue to accumulate and maintain bargaining unit seniority for up to three (3) months, providing they continue to pay Special Union Dues. Employees who stay outside the Bargaining Unit three (3) months plus one (1) day, forfeit all bargaining unit seniority and privileges. If the Company wishes to rehire them, they shall be put on the bottom of the Seniority List.
